Search Engine Indexing: 3 Ways to Get Indexed Fast
Every time I posted a new blog post, I always check if the post is already indexed by Google before I stop working on it. This is a big contrast in my experience last year wherein it takes around 1-2 weeks before I can see my blog post get indexed. The rule of thumb in search engine indexing is that your post will probably be not be crawled and indexed by the search engine robots unless an authority page or a page with a high Page Rank links to it.
If you have no idea how to know if any of your blog or website posts and pages are already indexed by Google, simply type the following to Google’s search box
site:yourdomainname
Example:
site:internetmarketingarcher.com
In almost 2 weeks of blogging, I am always surprised that my new blog posts are already indexed by Google even with just a few minutes after posting. I’ve done a little research of the activities that I am doing after publishing a blog post to find out how it relates to Google indexing. After some careful thoughts, below are the routines that I am doing that speeds up search engine indexing. You don’t need to do all of these but these are good ways to get more traffic. Sometimes, just doing 1 does the thing for me.
1. Bookmark your blog post using social bookmarking sites including
- Digg
- Delicious
- StumbleUpon
2. Share your blog post link to social networking sites like Facebook.
It’s so easy to do this in Facebook but make sure what you are posting are good contents as you run the risk of getting your Facebook account banned.
3. Tweet the blog post link to your Twitter profile.
There’s some exception here though. Your Twitter profile’s page rank should have a high PR. I tested this between two of my accounts, one with PR0 and the other with PR5. When I tweeted the post in my high-ranking Twitter profile, it get indexed fast – in minutes.
This is just a little tip for today but if implemented, you can possibly get new visitors for your blog when it gets into the search engine index.

Another Tip is installing a SEO plugin on your blog like All-In-One SEO Pack, so you can optimize your posts separately, also using feedburner and offering email subscriptions through them is a great start.
