If you have been into this blog, I would like to apologize for the delay of the review of Instant Capture Page. We are still awaiting for the product copy and the creator, Jeff Long is adding more features for version 2.0. Once we have the product, we’ll do the review and provide you with some demo to see it for yourself.

Today, I would like to discuss with you what it takes to build a solid ClickBank business. I’m supposed to record it on video, but man, I’m too shy for the camera – oh well, just for now. You will see me speak soon, no worries! I even tried using Camtasia to create a Powerpoint presentation but my voice over needs a little practice and I don’t want to sound like a voice from the grave. Geez…

Going back, it really got my attention as many of the internet marketers I encountered along the way, has, in one way or another, claimed that they are earning big bucks from ClickBank alone. When I say ClickBank business, what I mean is that you sell your own product using ClickBank and get the lion share of the profits. That’s totally different from being an affiliate, wherein you just get a portion of what you sold.

I frequently encounter this business model and have actually done a little research of what I need to have in place to have a business like this up and running. Here’ is the list:

1. Create the products
- The actual product you sell
- Front-end product (used as bait to sign up for a newsletter)
- Back-end product (product you sell in the background)
- Bonus products (products to add value and compliment the actual product in BONUS form)

2. Top notch sales copy

3. Professionally designed website
- Includes graphics

4. Affiliate resources
- You need the help of other people to endorse your products and you need to arm them with marketing materials to boost sales.

This is not as rosy as it can get as you can encounter challenges along the way, which includes the following:

1. All of these stuffs needs certain expertise and you cannot do it by yourself alone.
- Specifically, you need excellent writing skills to create your product, say an ebook and the affiliate materials like emails series/newsletter
- To be a seasoned copywriter to write your sales copy. if your copy don’t convert, don’t expect any sales!
- To be professional web designer to create attractive website and graphics that pulls visitors

Now tell me, can you be all of the three?

2. Now if you decide to hire people to do item #1, you need to spend thousands of dollars in professional fees.
- I don’t have the numbers, but it certainly will cost a lot.

3. Time to setup
- I don’t know about you, but say you want to do it yourself, just try to estimate the amount of time you need to spend to finish all this.

4. I will hire people to do these!
- Good luck my friend. I’m in the outsourcing business and I know very well the problems associated with outsourcing tasks to people you don’t personally know their skills. If you want some headache, go try it.

5. Last but not the least, you need to know how to drive traffic to your website.
- No traffic, no leads, no sales. It’s that simple.

Okay, don’t think that I’m discouraging you to enter this type of business. No, I’m not. I’m just presenting you the challenges that you might meet if you decide to do this type of business model.

But here’s an alternative that you can take a look at:

- Be a prolific writer to create your products
- Have technical expertise
- Be an expert copywriter
- Have skills for creating professional websites
